The Twining Rope Medium Clay Texture Wheel is a hand-held tool for adding texture to clay. It’s designed to be paired with the RH-3 handle, giving you precise and secure control with just one hand. That makes it easy to add texture to flanges. The shape of the RH-3 handle lets you carry the pattern on your clay all the way down to the bat.

Inspired by the bold, geometric style of the Twining Rope era, this wheel gives vases, planters, and serving pieces a continuous decorative surface. The GM (medium) size works on both medium and large forms and rolls a consistent pattern in one smooth motion. Our GM, GS, or Gear Groups (GG) are inspired by The Steve Tool and its handle style. Texture wheels from all 3 product lines are interchangeable on the RH-3 handle.

How To Use:
To use this roller, throw a straight cylinder and clean the slip off with a straight edge rib. Next, use one hand to roll the Twining Rope Medium Clay Texture Wheel along the outside. Have your other hand support the wall from the inside. Stop before you overlap your texture. Then stretch the clay from the inside with a rib to create your final shape. Whether you’re experimenting with new surfaces or building a signature look, this wheel makes intricate texture easy to achieve right at the wheel.

Care:
Wood is a natural material and will absorb some water. Rinse and let the tool air-dry after use. Don’t leave it soaking.
